Boston.com offers ‘Deal of the Day’ online discount coupons

Boston.com announced Oct. 14 a new online home-page feature, “Deal of the Day,” which will provide online readers with a discount to a different local venue each day.

Deal of the Day will offer consumers online coupons for a different featured local vendor each day that the consumers can share with friends and family through e-mails and social media.

Boston.com created the new feature with BuyWithMe.com, a buying platform based in Boston, according to an Oct. 14 reuters.com article.

Bob Kempf, vice president of product technology for Boston.com, told reuters.com that “our audience has been asking for more deals, shopping and value-related content from us. We believe the Deal of the Day will serve that need nicely and couldn't come at a better time, when our readers, like everyone else, are watching their budgets carefully."
